The Miller Center is one of the ways through which you can correlate the past and future presidents and the past and future of our great country.

The Miller Center is developing into a wonderful resource for the University of Virginia, and for our entire country. I commend you for your scholarship. I thank you for your leadership. I praise you for your service to our country.

The key is that it combines historical analysis with interviews, recordings and public conversation with those who served and had to make the hard decisions. History is active at the Miller Center, as demonstrated by the First Year project, which brings the past and the present together to understand what we're going through and, ultimately, make public policy better.
