He begins his lecture by discussing the planning that went into operation Overlord and then the complexities that occurred on the day on the invasion. During the questioning session he discusses the role of La R?sistance, the role of Free French Forces, the Falaise Gap, the role of the Canadian Army, and meeting with the Russians on the Elbe River.
