Professor Joseph Scolnick is a professor of classics in American government at Clinch Valley College who has published numerous works and currently is working on a study concerning the Bush presidency. Scolnick examines the role foreign policy played for Bill Clinton in the 1992 presidential election. Professor Scolnick describes how Clinton?s campaign strategy for foreign affairs successfully propelled him to the presidency over the much more experienced foreign policy-maker Bush. During the questions, Scolnick deals with Al Gore?s influence on Clinton, setbacks in Somalia and Haiti and Clinton?s decision-making process.
