Andrew Hyde is a member of the Foreign Service, but prior to joining Mr. Hyde worked in the Department of Commerce Office of Legislative Affairs and as an economic adviser to Senator John Warner. Hyde explores the nature of governance by comparing the British and American government systems. Mr. Hyde compares the role of the minority parties, the layout of the legislative chambers, party influence and constituent relations. During the question and answer session, Hyde answers questions about the Shadow Cabinet, the influence of the Prime Minister and the effectiveness of each system in passing legislation.
