Theodore Geiger, a professor from Georgetown University, discusses ideology in the 21st century. First he debates the meaning of the word ideology and then addresses which ideologies he sees are in direct opposition to America?s ideology of liberal capitalism. He cites communism, religious fundamentalism, ?Confucian capitalism?, and neo-fascism. He concludes by warning that these competing ideologies could pose a problem for America in the future. During the questioning session he addresses the differences of various liberal democracies.
