Mark Rozell, a preeminent scholar on the Presidency, gives a forum on executive privilege or the president?s right to withhold information from the public. Rozell explains that the use of executive privilege has been cast in a shadow of doubt since the Watergate scandal. He focuses primarily on President George Bush Sr.?s usage of the executive privilege. After a brief historical account of the use of executive privilege, Rozell adresses Bush?s use of executive privilege and his justification for doing so.
