English professor Paul Cantor explains the confrontation between rhetoric and philosophy by using Plato's Phaedrus, which he briefly summarizes in the beginning. He addressed the influence of Plato's work on Aristotle's treatise on rhetoric, as well as Derrida's analysis of Plato's writing.
